About Me
I am a career changer who went from biochemistry to being a recent Spring 2024 graduate of a master’s in computer science I because I wanted to move from a position of limited influence to one where I could address challenges on a larger, digital scale. I proceeded to complete the equivalent of a Computer Science bachelor's degree plus graduate-level coursework in data science and artificial intelligence. As the Treasurer of my graduate program’s student association in a role of leadership, I spearheaded financial decisions to provide my classmates meaningful opportunities in an asynchronous environment and was one of three recipients of the Outstanding Service Award for my work as an Academic Coach role in empowering over 100 students to excel in their introductory classes. To compensate for my later start of professional experience, I ask that you consider my vigorness. Even while I was my mom’s caretaker during her 2 years of dialysis treatment for her life-threatening kidney disease (she is now recovering well after a kidney transplant), I remained focused on learning. My academic and competition projects have allowed me to develop hands-on skills in various technologies, and I do not undervalue my experience which can be applied to a professional setting. Even if I can't meet 100% of a job qualifications, that’s okay because my history proves that I am a fast receptive learner who aims to complete 100% of the responsibilities. I want to break into the IT field to aim for a better future.
