The Leidos National Security Sector has a career opportunity for an entry level/ Junior Software Engineer at our Leidos facility in Columbia, MD. Join a collaborative team of engineers that will mentor you and foster career growth!

Program Summary:
Our program is a large, multi-year contract for the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of large, collection systems. The work that's being done on this Leidos-led, prime contract is extremely important to the government and offers its team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies. Job Summary:

As a Junior Software Engineer you will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. In this role you will be responsible for hardware and software integration, infrastructure, and provisioning.

Additional duties:

·Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.

·Resolve software problem reports. Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.

·Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Security Clearance requirement:

·Must possess active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance to be considered for this role.

Basic Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years’ experience on projects with similar processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

·Experience with hardware and software integration, Infrastructure, and provisioning.

Preferred Qualifications:      

·Ability to perform full lifecycle support to the customer on complex data systems and networks.

·Administration/maintenance experience

·Python Experience

·Some knowledge of SIGINT systems and dataflows

·Provide solutions to the customer applying expertise with systems engineering and networks/components to support.

·Provide technical guidance to the customer in relation to SIGINT systems.

·Ability to perform in a team environment.

·Candidates possessing system administration and/or network engineering backgrounds will be considered if they have the above skillset.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00
