Job description

Ryan Companies has an exciting career opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team in Dallas! This is an entry-level construction position that will assist the project team in the completion of a designated project.

Some things you can expect to do

  • Generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals
  • Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination
  • Coordinate and track Vendor & Subcontractor deliveries
  • Participate in the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process
  • Keep office and jobsite plans updated
  • Accompany Ryan personnel and owner on punchlist inspections, record punchlist items, and monitor completion of punchlist work
  • Prepare and update the project schedule
  • Additional duties as assigned by Superintendent and/or Project Manager

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, a 4-year college degree is required (preferably in a construction-related field). You must have a general knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing. You must also be willing to travel as needed to execute projects.

You will really stand out if you have

  • Ability to execute mathematical calculations, understand architectural and engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost-coding systems
  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively

Eligibility

  • Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation

The base pay is $75,000 - $80,000 per year. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
