The Role:

As a Member of Technical Staff (New Grad) at Anterior, you will contribute to solving complex technical challenges and delivering impactful solutions that align with our mission. This role is ideal for recent graduates eager to launch their engineering careers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams to build scalable infrastructure, develop robust backend systems, and co-create transformative tools for clinicians.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure for real-time, high-throughput healthcare applications.
  • Assist in developing and optimizing backend systems that power secure, AI-driven clinical workflows.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Design, and AI teams to create intuitive, user-centric solutions.
  • Learn and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to automate deployments and optimize system performance.
  • Gain hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, on-prem) and modern infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Contribute to ensuring high reliability, security, and scalability by integrating best practices in modular system design, testing, and observability.
  • Engage in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions to continuously grow your skills and understanding of scalable systems.

What We Look For:

  • A recent degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  • Empathy for users – You are passionate about understanding end-user needs and collaborating with product managers to deliver intuitive solutions.
  • Strong interest in scalable backend architectures and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and an eagerness to deepen your knowledge in multi-cloud systems.
  • Exposure to tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines (through coursework, internships, or projects).
  • Startup ready – You are eager to take ownership of projects, learn quickly, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Collaborative spirit – You enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams and are open to learning from experienced engineers.

Bonus Points:

  • Internship experience related to backend infrastructure, distributed systems, or cloud engineering.
  • Experience with data pipelines, enterprise integrations, or API development.
  • Interest in AI/ML infrastructure or deploying AI-powered applications.
  • Familiarity with high-compliance, security-sensitive industries (healthcare, finance, defense).

  • Technical Screen (45 min): Paired programming session to gain a baseline of your technical ability.
  • Final Round
    • Technical Discussion (45 min): A deep dive into your past projects, focusing on problem-solving, technical decisions, and trade-offs.
    • System Design (45 min): Assessing your ability to architect scalable systems, justify design choices, and address performance bottlenecks.
    • Culture Interview (30 min): You'll have the opportunity to converse with members of the Anterior team, and help evaluate if you're someone we'd like to welcome aboard and if you also perceive us as a team you'd like to be part of
