What You’ll Do:
Mechanical Design & Analysis
- Perform basic design calculations using MathCad, ANSYS, and other engineering tools.
- Assist in selecting machine components and preparing purchase requisitions.
- Contribute to static and dynamic design analysis, fatigue stress analysis, and structural evaluations.
Project & Customer Collaboration
- Review orders, compare specifications with proposals, and identify discrepancies.
- Prepare and review drawings for customer approval and design accuracy.
- Work directly with customers, project managers, and shop personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
Manufacturing & Shop Support
- Visit customer sites to verify dimensions and inspect projects (ability to climb onto equipment may be required).
- Support shop personnel by answering engineering-related questions and solving design challenges during production.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Entry-level, though machine design, structural analysis, or material handling experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software (ANSYS, MathCad preferred).
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles, structural analysis, and material properties.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Primarily office-based with occasional visits to the shop and customer sites.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, operate tools, and work in industrial settings.
- Exposure to machinery, equipment, and moving parts as required for inspections and project verification.
