Primary Objective of Position: This role will be a mix of Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Engineering. Â Responsible to improve, develop and implement production system design improvements to support safety, quality, and throughput efforts. Â From workplace optimization to development of labor standards, this role is a critical part of the Manufacturing Engineering team.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Create processes, equipment, and factory layouts to optimize production and quality.
- Analyze production processes, schedules, and methods to determine current and future manufacturing needs.
- Create a standard process for manufacturing labor content, optimizing model mix and improving flow within operations.
- Support manufacturing transformations utilizing lean thinking and methodologies
- Document the financial justification of implementing new processes
- Evaluate, monitor, and document manufacturing processes and equipment uses.
- Research automation techniques and data to aid in the analyzation of manufacturing processes and identification of improvement opportunities.
- Develop, implement, and improve sustainable manufacturing processes and applicable technologies.
- Use effective methods to communicate new processes and equipment operation methods to end users.
- Analyze expected project costs and how they compare to project budgets.
- Troubleshoot and collaborate with manufacturing leaders to minimize potential issues with new manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Provide reports and data related to projects as requested.
- Perform other tasks or duties as assigned.
- Ensuring that new manufacturing processes are flexible in design to accommodate future production plans

Education & Experience
- Degree in Manufacturing / Industrial engineering or related field preferred.
- Relevant training in continuous improvement methodology and lean practices
- Prior experience in a manufacturing facility
- Production system design experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications and computer-aided design (CAD) platforms.
