Position Overview:
The Software Engineer will be a part of our, Interface Architecture team and play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust interface solutions using a low-code platform. This role requires a deep technical acumen, with a strong focus on SQL and JavaScript. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create efficient and user-friendly applications.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Low-code Platform Familiarity
- Specialize in utilizing the Retool platform to design and develop internal and external-facing applications.
- Stay updated on the latest Retool features and incorporate them into interface solutions.
- Interface Design and Development
- Architect, design, and develop interfaces to ensure seamless integration between various systems and applications using Retool.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective Retool-based solutions.
- Strong SQL Fundamentals
- Leverage SQL skills within the Retool platform to query databases, analyze data, and optimize database performance.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance SQL scripts and queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Vanilla Javascript and CSS Association
- Apply JavaScript and CSS knowledge within a low-code platform to enhance interface functionality and contribute to the development of user-friendly features.
- Familiarity with building charts using Plotly.js or similar library.
- System Integration
- Work closely with Data Engineering team to integrate Retool-based interfaces with existing systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve interface-related issues to ensure optimal system performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance.
- Familiarity with JavaScript and its application within the Retool platform.
- Solid understanding of data integration concepts, ETL processes, and system architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
