Junior Level CAD Engineer

Overview: Join our dynamic team at Caliber Sales Engineering as a Junior Level CAD Engineer. As a Junior Level CAD Engineer, you will be an integral part of our design and engineering team, contributing to the development of innovative and high-quality products. You will utilize your knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed technical drawings and models, supporting the engineering process from concept to production. Key Responsibilities

• Design and Drafting:
• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models based on project specifications and requirements.
• Assist in the development of new product designs and modifications to existing products.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with senior engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all design projects.
• Generate and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) and other technical documentation.
• Prepare and revise drawings as needed to reflect changes in design.
• Quality Assurance:
• Conduct preliminary checks on designs to identify potential issues and ensure accuracy.
• Support quality control processes by providing necessary documentation and design specifications.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues during the production process.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest CAD software developments and industry trends.
• Seek opportunities to improve design processes and increase efficiency.
• Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills.

Qualifications

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Equivalent experience in CAD design and drafting may be considered.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with creating and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience:
• Some experience in CAD design and drafting, either through internships, academic projects, or entry-level positions.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for CAD design.
• Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
