Overview: Join our dynamic team at Caliber Sales Engineering as a Junior Level CAD Engineer. As a Junior Level CAD Engineer, you will be an integral part of our design and engineering team, contributing to the development of innovative and high-quality products. You will utilize your knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed technical drawings and models, supporting the engineering process from concept to production. This role provides an excellent opportunity to grow and develop your skills in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Drafting:
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models based on project specifications and requirements.
- Assist in the development of new product designs and modifications to existing products.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and company guidelines.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all design projects.
- Generate and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) and other technical documentation.
- Prepare and revise drawings as needed to reflect changes in design.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct preliminary checks on designs to identify potential issues and ensure accuracy.
- Support quality control processes by providing necessary documentation and design specifications.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues during the production process.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest CAD software developments and industry trends.
- Seek opportunities to improve design processes and increase efficiency.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Equivalent experience in CAD design and drafting may be considered.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with creating and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience:
- Some experience in CAD design and drafting, either through internships, academic projects, or entry-level positions.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for CAD design.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

For more than 30 years Caliber Sales Engineering has grown significantly and provided support to both US and international end users with spares, repairs, system upgrades, onsite management, manpower, and other services. We have provided our services to both commercial and military clients.
CSE has long established relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, and aftermarket repair facilities located in the US and globally to support our clients. With offices both in the US and in the Middle East we understand how to remain relevant in a constantly changing global environment.
Over the last few years CSE has continued to develop and grow our in-house manufacturing and repair capabilities to include Form Fit & Function, upgrade, and the refurbishment focusing on military components. In addition, CSE has expanded capabilities to include the design and manufacture of power storage solutions.
