We are seeking a highly motivated, high-performing, skilled Junior Automotive Mechanical Engineer with automotive experience to join our dynamic team! The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, with a strong interest in automotive systems and components. The role will involve working under the Senior Automotive Mechanical Engineer and in collaboration with our production team to support the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge automotive technologies that will shape the future of wheelchair-accessible mobility.
What you'll do:
- Assist in the design and development of automotive systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Hands-on skills with diagnostics software, hardware, tools, instruments, general electromechanical systems and measurement techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical, software, and other subsystems
- Conduct performance testing and analysis to validate designs and identify areas for improvement
- Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software
- Support manufacturing and production teams to ensure smooth transition from design to production
- Draw layouts, part detailing, and GD&T
- Stay current with emerging automotive technologies and trends to drive innovation within the organization
- Integrate mechanical, electronic, and control systems for optimal performance into our products
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong interest and/or familiarity with automotive systems and components
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
