As a Software Developer, you will play a pivotal role in assisting our Senior Level developers and contributing to the development of Merit’s SaaS based applications.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in Software Development: Perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of modern web applications and backend services.
• Coding and Testing: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, and assist in testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and quality of software. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for software components, including code comments, and technical documentation.
• Problem Solving: Work with the development team to identify and resolve software defects issues, and challenges.
• Support and Maintenance: Provide support for existing software applications and assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Requirements:

• Requires strong written and oral communication skills as well as relationship building competencies.
• Should be comfortable working independently, as well as being an efficient collaborator with other team members.
• Provide support and on call functions to assist in advanced troubleshooting as required to minimize downtime of production operations.
• Engage in complete project lifecycle: actively participate in departmental and project design meetings, and effectively communicate project status with direct team lead and functional project owner
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of department’s strategic business plans.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of company’s existing IT architecture/infrastructure and technology portfolio.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
• Experience in server setup, front end UI (VueJS), and Laravel PHP Framework is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of both front-end and back-end language platforms as PHP, Laravel, Linux Server, VueJS, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
• Basic knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and development tools.
