Overview: Join our high-tech growth business serving the pharmaceutical and chemical analysis markets as a Field Service Engineer. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, qualifications, installations, familiarization, and repairs on gas and liquid chromatography instruments. This role involves working at various labs, so a passion for continuously learning about new instruments, software, and consumables is essential. Your interpersonal skills, creativity, and can-do attitude will be key to solving customer problems and delivering the highest levels of customer service, ensuring both customer success and your own career growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an Agilent ambassador to all customers
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be self-motivated and proactive
  • Conduct site prep calls prior to installations
  • Perform on-site installations and customer training sessions
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance, qualifications, and verification services
  • Provide high-quality service and support to customers
  • Adhere to environmental health and safety guidelines
  • Manage your own travel needs, including overnight stays
  • Complete administrative work in a timely manner
  • Manage parts inventory effectively
  • Stay current with technical and corporate training
  • Provide feedback to manufacturing divisions
  • Collaborate with sales teams to grow and support the business
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge for assigned products
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree within the Sciences (STEM)
  • Strong logical troubleshooting skills
  • Good software and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills a must
  • Verbal and written communication is clear, respectful, and timely
  • Compliance with site access requirements, including medical information, drug testing, or background checks

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least December 18, 2024 or until the job is no longer posted.  In the US, this position is eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $28.25 - $44.14/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
