We are currently seeking an entry-level civil engineer to join our Camden, New Jersey office. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects that impact the local community and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and calculations for infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage systems, and utilities.
- Conduct site visits and field inspections to collect data, monitor project progress, and ensure compliance with design standards and regulations.
- Perform hydrology and hydraulic analyses to support drainage and stormwater management designs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address client needs and project requirements, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation to support project planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Entry-level candidates or up to 2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or GIS applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Currently, CME Associates provides a complete range of Environmental, Geotechnical, Engineering, Surveying, and Planning services and has represented both the public and private sectors on a wide range of projects and, specifically, projects relating to the environment, including water and wastewater treatment facilities and pipelines; wastewater and potable water master plans; water resources and treatment, storage and conveyance facilities; surface and groundwater monitoring; landfills; recycling facilities implementation plans; environmental impact statements; highway and roadway construction; large residential and commercial development projects, and major capital construction projects.
