We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team and support our Liquid Analysis members in achieving World Class Excellence within our Anaheim business unit. What is the role about?
The primary goal of this role is to assist the Electrical Engineering department in both the creation of innovative new products and the ongoing support of existing engineering projects.
Which tasks will you perform?
You will:
- Design and modify electronic circuits, including microcontroller (embedded) systems, in existing sensors for better quality and performances.
- Design and modify electronic circuits, including microcontroller (embedded) systems, for new sensors.
- Create schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams for electronic circuits and embedded devices.
- Write and debug embedded software using programming languages like C/C++ or Python.
- Design, plan, and perform tests/experiments to verify the functionalities and performances of new or modified circuits and devices.
- Prepare parts, assemble, and test prototype sensors. Â
- Define, select and propose tests for compliance certification. Work with technicians and external labs to perform the tests.
- Conduct troubleshooting and circuitry failure analysis (FA) of sensors failed in the field applications or in production tests; propose solutions to solve the problems identified from troubleshooting and FA; writes and present FA reports to internal departments and external customers.
- Review circuitries and make corrections to errors in circuit design, PCB layout, manufacturing, and/or assembly. Â
- Work with industrial engineers and manufacturing personnel to implement the above corrections; and to make improvements for lower costs, better quality, and faster manufacturing of products.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance product capabilities.
- Review and define specifications for components and devices.
- Write work instructions for assembly of electronic devices and related products.
- Provide technical support to other departments (e.g., evaluate and determine suitability of electronic components to be purchased; answer technical questions from purchase, sales/customers, quality, and production).
- Support Certification Engineers on compliance requirements of electronic components and cables. Â
- Other related tasks.
What do we expect from you?
You:
- Proficiency in design of analog and digital electronic circuitry.
- Proficiency in embedded (microcontroller) system HW & SW design, debugging and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Electronic testing design.
- Proficiency in PCB design.
- Knowledge of electronic production technologies.
- Knowledge of sensor technologies.
- Familiar with tools and instruments such as DMM, oscilloscope, spectrometer, and signal generator.
- Hands-on experience with electronics device and component troubleshooting.
- Experience with quality evaluation of electronic components and cables.
- Knowledge of electronic and electrical safety.

The listed range for this position is $43.27-$62.50/hr but the actual package offered may vary depending on different factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation for this position would include other elements which include an annual nondiscretionary bonus.
