Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems is currently hiring multiple Entry and Associate Product Security Engineers to join us as part of our Test Systems Design teamfor Space Electronics team located in El Segundo, CA. Our team is a critical part of Boeing's mission, ensuring the reliability and performance of advanced space electronics through the design, development, and validation of state-of-the-art testing equipment. Our engineers work on a variety of Special Test Equipment (STE) to validate space-grade electronics, from power and digital subsystems to RF/mixed signal systems.

In the ever-evolving arena of space technology, the STE team will also participate in research and development initiatives focusing on futuristic technologies such as advanced propulsion systems, spaceborne telescopes, and spacecraft for asteroid mining and space-based solar power systems.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Review, design, and implement a new suite of robust security measures to existing STE infrastructure and safeguard organizational systems and sensitive data.
  • Develop and implement data and end-user security through the STE requirement, design and operation lifecycle. This include defining the STE security architecture to meet all subsystems for integration into Boeing products.
  • Support detailed design for subsystem and system level STE within the power/digital, mixed signal and RF division; ensuring security of equipment, test data, network and resources within the STE.
  • Perform analysis of the test modeling and data to predict their behavior and performance within the test system. Utilize simulation tools like SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, and Advanced Design System (ADS).
  • Design and conduct various testing methodologies to support designs and to gather data for technical performance measures.  Use tools like Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to record and analyze data.
  • Provide software and cybersecurity technical support during the development and testing of space-qualified electronics. Troubleshoot any test data anomalies occurring during the integration and test of a test system or flight unit, as well as during subsequent delivery and system usage.
  • Make recommendations for the procurement of test equipment, ensuring the test setup has the right tools for the STE security measures.
  • Document security procedures, presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborating with multi-functional teams
  • Design, deploy and manage IT architectures including multiple different networks with different access requirements and standards, e.g. IT solutions for both government and commercial use cases
  • Advise customers and end users on maintaining product security and certification.
  • Use Python, LabView, C#, Agilent VEE, to help design automated tests for spacecraft modules, slices, and units. Ensuring data security is met throughout the testing phase.
