This position will require the employee to work both from regional office locations, home-based office and installation sites, as needed.  Work away from home office locations may include assignments at laboratories, factories, construction sites, and client offices and facilities.  Duties may require working outdoors in extreme weather conditions, require the candidate to lift no greater than 50 lbs., endure long periods of standing or sitting, and require wearing personal protective equipment.  Duration of any remote assignment could be from one week to several months, with travel and temporary lodging expensed and reimbursed, as terms and conditions apply.



Responsibilities

As a Rotational Engineer at Fluence, you will:

•Execute an assignment plan based on 2 one-year rotations within the regional technical staff, in accordance with departmental manager’s expectations. Solicits support and technical direction from Program Coordinator, Mentor, Project Leads, Technical Leads, subject matter experts, and/or peers as appropriate.

•Provide periodic report-outs to Executive Leadership team, including results achieved, impact to business and lessons learned.

•Support continuous improvement efforts of the Region, including the completion of safety and job functional training as required by business.

•Periodically attend training based on assignment plan requirements and/or soft-skill development needs.

Job Requirements

Required minimum qualifications:

  • Education/Certifications: BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution (or regional equivalent).  Computer Science and Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar may be considered for Network and Software Engineering rotations.
  • Must be 21 years or older upon graduation, or prior to the first day of employment
  • Must possess and hold a valid US drivers license
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a valid US Passport
  • Ability/Desire to work on a temporary assignment in another country/location


Desired skills and experience:

  • 0-2 years (internship/Co-Op) related engineer experience in a renewable energy, power utility, electronics, or manufacturing environment desired.
  • Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability, and trust
  • Demonstrate leadership in field of study, extracurricular activities, or service organizations
  • Basic understanding of engineering practices, design methods, and calculations
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, etc.
