Cranston Engineering Group, P.C. of Augusta, GA is looking to hire a full-time Civil Project Engineer. Responsibilities

As a Civil Project Engineer, your design work is essential to our success. Autodesk Civil 3D and hydrologic calculations are important tools of your trade. Using your judgment, you make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. You also assist with coordinating and managing criteria in carrying out a sequence of engineering tasks.

Highly collaborative, you work on teams to develop, plan, coordinate, and perform multiple projects. You assist project managers and other team members with being on schedule, within scope, and on budget. Additionally, you may serve as a liaison between the surveying team, clients, contractors, and permitting agencies, making construction site visits when necessary.

You also assist in the preparation of final construction bid documents and monthly billing for work completed. On a continuous basis, you work to develop your professional knowledge and abilities. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
  • EIT (engineer in training) certification OR in process of preparing for the FE exam (preferred)
  • Internships that included engineering design work and related tasks (preferred)
  • Proficiency in engineering design software (Civil 3D is preferred)
  • Proven skill in learning design software
  • Ability to learn to work with clients to define and document requirements, address technical concerns, and provide project status
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
