Begin your career working with some of the top civil engineering experts in the industry. Burgess & Niple is looking for an entry-level Civil Engineer to join our team in Houston.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Professional Engineers and design staff

Participate in delivering projects related to land planning, site design, feasibility/cost opinions and final civil construction plan design for land development clients throughout the Texas and Arizona region (i.e. single family, multi-family, senior housing, assisted living and memory care facilities, commercial, retail and hospitality projects)

Learn and develop your skills creating bid/contract documents

Thrive in an organization that constantly adapts and evolves with client needs

Interact with clients, governing agencies and the public and don’t mind occasional construction administration duties and field / site visits

Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited program in Civil Engineering
Engineer in Training registration or ability to obtain within 6 months
0-2 years’ experience in land development for residential, commercial, retail, and industrial type projects
Experience in multi-family and senior housing projects a plus but not required
Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
Software experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Civil 3D required
